Is it possible with this plugin to have one page with information for various users and restrict it with the variable shortcode so the user only sees the information intended for them? Meaning it would block out all other content that is not in between that username variable.

You could certain have your page display different information depending on a URL element. However, that would be beyond the scope of the plugin -- the plugin just gets you to a particular page depending on the user.
