Version 2.81 released! | Peter's Custom Anti-Spam for WordPress | Forum
Back to the custom anti-spam plugin page
This is a crucial bug fix to stop a silent error from occurring every time the page is loaded. This didn't affect plugin functionality, but might clog your error logs.
Read the forum thread regarding the problem.
Download it on the plugin page, as always:

Are you aware that trackbacks and pingbacks are being discarded when this plugin is activated?
I have been able to consistently duplicate this problem on two of my blogs after some exhaustive testing. The problem persists with version 2.81.
I plan to take a look at the code when I get some free time to see if I can help you resolve this problem. Feel free to e-mail me if you would like to discuss this further.
Thanks for the great plugin. I'd much rather use this than the math method.
Thanks!
Donovan
Yes, there are options for this at the top of the plugin file. These are the settings I use on my blog:
// Set this to equal TRUE if you want to allow trackbacks (but be vulnerable to trackback spam)
$cas_allowtrack = false;
// Set this to equal TRUE if you want to allow pingbacks (but be vulnerable to pingback spam)
$cas_allowping = true;

For some reason, even though I already have
$cas_allowtrack = true;
Trackbacks are still not working for me. I believe the plugin is still requiring the image challenge. I tested this with a Trackback Tester at http://www.quietearth.us/webto.....tester.php and it tells me it failed. The blog server replied:
