is it possible to preserve the custom words between updates? I manage 4 blogs on my site and each time I have to change the words manually... and the words are somehow blog-s[ecific....

The only way at the moment is to manually save / backup the words/wp_cas_words.php file before upgrading. In the future, the plugin *should* store the word list in the database or a file outside of the plugins folder.
