Did you specifically order several years? My first year of service expired in January and I have to log in here to renew:
Otherwise, at the moment my magicJack is inactive and I didn't have a pending renewal or anything like that. I don't know what the policy is if you had signed up for multiple years up front.

hello you all.. look let me tell you all something about magic jack... this gadget is the best thing ever.... it makes phone calls really really cheap no matter if you call a cell or a landline phone.... the thing is that you all american don't appreciate that because phone call in the states are really cheap also... but listen to this ...if you all lived over seas AND YOU HAD TO PAY OVER 1 DOLLAR AND 50 CENTS POR MINUTE TO CALL A LANDLINE PHONE..... OR 2 DOLLARS A MINUTE TO CALL A CELL PHONE... YOU AMERICANS YOU APPRECIATE MAGIC JACK A LOT MORE... NOW YOU COMPARE THAT TO 20 DOLLARS A YEAR WITH MAGIC JACK............................... Hey Christofoletti! I share your like of MagicJack... have had mine since they first came out. I purchased a 5 year plan & I don't remember when it started. You say that the online support is "AWESOME", but I can't figure out how to access my subscription information, nor is there a way on their web site to contact online support. Is there a different home page available that I am not seeing?

I started to order it but the free shipping they advertise is none existant and trying to stop the order cannot be done. Also I was angry about not being able to stop the order and was just sitting and looking at the screen to see if I'd missed something. Oh I was not completely inactive. I was petting my cat in my lap. No hands on the computer when they decided to complete the order for me.
I got a completed page and an order confirmation number. In about two minutes there was an email stating the same. I tried to contact them to cancel. No way Jose.
I then called my credit card and put a stop on payment to these jerks for the max time allowed by the card company. Four years.
Today I received an email from MagicJunk that they have shipped my order.
I have emailed them, "I hope it works I found the address on a blog" that I will not accept it and will not pay return shipping. In other words go to hell.
I have constructed the letter to my attorney and to the Federal Trade Commission in regards to Fraudulent business practices.
I hope don't have to send them but I'm sure they will continue with the BS.
Sorry I come from an age that dishonesty is a very bad trait.

I got mad at magic jack as they charged me for calling USA conference call without any warning/notice. When I lloked for customer service, there only a chart room, the dispute won't go anywhere but loop between chart supporting persons. I dig internet and got their number, I publish here and hope more people can benefit and talk to them directly to get problem solved.

major jerk around from magic jack. i paid for 5 years in advance and they deactivated my number 18 months in. called customer service and got sent to tech chat. what a joke!!!! got the run around about a "ported number". never ordered one but I was deactivated because I didn't pay for it. BUYER BEWARE. DO NOT PAY FOR MORE THAN 1 YEAR.

I have been trying to download a second Canadian phone # for my MagicJack Plus for 4 days.The original number I was given was supposed to be a local 226 number for the London, Ontario, Canada area, but my family and friends all get the message "This is a long-distance call"
So, after FIVE "Chatline calls, I still cannot download a second Canadian number because their computer system continues to reject my Mastercard's 3-digit Security Code as "INVALID", EVEN AFTER I REPLACED THE CARD WITH ANOTHER CARD, I GET THE SAME PROBLEM - -IT REFUSES TO ACCEPT THE SECURE CODE.
I have tried every possible way to get through to them, but this sure looks suspicious when they do NOT EXPOSE ANY E-MAIL OR PHONE NUMBERS and when you get "canned responses" from EVERY CHATLINE PERSON.
I am rapidly losing confidence that MJ can ever permit me to rely on them so I can boot MA BELL OUT OF MY HOME FOREVER!!!!!!

Magicjack is a scam. Shakey hardware and even worse software. Tech support is horrible and run out of India. It's impossible to contact a real person and live support won't give a legit telephone number or email address. If you are considering MJ just bash you head into the wall until bleeding and save yourself $69 plus all the "add ons" necessary to have a functional phone. Go with Skype, they're not perfect but also not scammers.
