I ordered the magicjack ata from canadianmagicjack.ca on Jan 28th 2010, This is now march 29th still no unit has been delivered, I tried to get a refund from paypal but the time has lapsed for opening a dispute.
I have email magicjack in Vancouver, Where I purchased it, and have been told "we are understaffed and will look into this next week" Well that was 3 weeks ago and still no word.I have sent an email demanding my $212.00 back and have not heard a word. What the hell is going on with this company.
When I ordered it back in January I cancelled my home phone figuring the 30 days notice with bell would give me my magicjack around the same time the 30 days were up as the website says 4-6 weeks for delivery..Well that did not happen.
I am still without a phone line in the house and the wife's not happy about that at all. Where can I call or email toget some action on this bogus scam going on from the Vancouver location.

If you paid through PayPal with a credit card you might still be able to go directly to your credit card company. You could also report them to the Better Business Bureau. Does anybody else have any ideas?
Be sure to keep this forum updated. If people search online for the magicJack in Canada and end up here, it'd be good to have stories of real user experiences.

You paid $212.00 ???
I paid $39.95 + $20.00 for the first year.
Marginal (sometimes crappy) quality, sure but for 20 bucks a year I'm not complaining. It's not perfect, but with cell phone and magijack I'm saving lots of money.

:cool:Doug it sounds like you did get ripoff but you can go to your credit card company and tell them you did not get what your ordered and they will credit back into your credit card and ask if they can stop the company from taking any more off your account. Most credit card companies have a security department and the credit card companies really don't like when these companies ripoff their customers. So go after these guys. I order magicjack from the states it came but there was no local numbers for Toronto everthing was long distance and they wanted $10.00 more a year for a Canadian so I sent it back don't go for Magic Jack. There is no Toronto numbers right now but on their website they said do 647 that area is not available. I think that they cater to the States more. There is a lot of people there that are not happy either. :frown:

i bought magicjack in vancouver for$49.99 and local vancouver number604 with extra $10 during registration and is working perfect.Very clear sound.Depend upon which phone you are using.I bought in end of april and usually usedmore than 500minute long distance and lots of local minute every month so far.I use Panasonic cordless phone on magicjack phone plug.I am happy.Now you can buy in London drugs or Future shop in Canada.

Well it's nowthe end of june and still no magicjack or refund from these theives in B.C. at canadaianmagicjack.ca .
I even sent an email to the owner of the company Neil Adams asking for my money back and he responed with "We can only kill so many chicken a day" what ever the hell thats supposed to mean (IDIOT).
Stay very far away from this company, They will take your money and pretend to be shipping yor order out soon so that time will lapse beyond getting a refund.

I met Neil Adams and I can assure you that you have been ripped off. He is 30 years old and lives with his mother in a apartment in Richmond BC, that's why there is no company address, it is all a scam. I also know that he paid some girls to work for him to supposedly be "support" and pay them sometimes with money if there was any or with amphetamines. So now you can imagine the kind of "company" you are dealing with. Good luck with those matters.
